Clinlead, clinical research arm of the Hyderabad-based Global Hospitals, is all set to offer full fledged clinical research services to the pharmaceutical companies, it is learnt. Clinlead’s plans to begin full fledged clinical research services with a view to offer both clinical research and site management services under one umbrella.

“Our aim is to provide one-stop shop kind of services to our customers, which includes contract research organisations and pharmaceutical companies. If the same company provides both clinical research and site management services, it will help to reduce the cost of clinical trials. It also helps in the integrity of the data generated”, Dr Tufail Syed, chief operating officer, Clinlead, told Pharmabiz.
Clinlead, which started as site management organisation, has so far managed over 200 trials, enrolling approximately 5000 subjects over the last two years. Currently the company is managing 15 trials, mostly from the foreign companies. Dr Syed added that the company strives to add value to the clinical research enterprise and evolving medical research through its cutting edge systems, highly experienced investigators and their teams. It has full time research physicians for monitoring the trials clinical trials.
He opined that there is a good scope for the companies that are providing both the clinical research and site management services and there are only few players who offer both the services. It has recently entered into a partnership with the Hyderabad-based James Lind Institute to provide training in clinical research. As per the partnership, both the institutes jointly provide the certificate.
