Cytecare to launch India's first personalised cancer hospital in Bengaluru soon

In order to provide comprehensive cancer care in India, Bengaluru based Cytecare Cancer Hospitals is planning to launch its first 150-bed facility in Bengaluru soon. Marking its foray into the Indian market, company is largely equity funded and has successfully raised about Rs.165 crore of capital for the same from global investors.

The company is also planning to establish centres of excellence in cancer care across major Indian cities using a scalable hub-and-spoke model. Fresh funds will be raised for new hospitals and sub-centres in other cities as well.

Ferzaan Engineer, co-founder and chairman, Cytecare Hospitals said, “More than a million patients are seeking cancer treatment in India each year. Our analysis of cancer treatment in India helped us identify the demand-supply gap in terms of access to global best practices, research protocols and the highest standards of patient care.”

The 150-bed hospital will offer services related to the prevention, detection and treatment of cancer, including chemotherapy, advanced surgical and critical care capabilities, radiotherapy, pain and palliative care, clinical counseling, advanced diagnostics, radiology, nuclear medicine, pathology and blood bank services. These comprehensive facilities will enable and support the delivery of standardised treatment protocols and ensure a holistic and personalised approach to cancer care.

Equipped to adhere to the highest standards of quality, governance and clinical excellence supervised by a multi-disciplinary tumour board, the hospital will empower patients with counselling and will also have a strong focus on support services such as nursing, physiotherapy and nutrition.

The hospital is conveniently located on an arterial road in the rapidly growing northern corridor of the city with excellent connectivity to the international airport and the city centre.
