Innova students top PGD healthcare exam conducted by Osmania University

Students of Innova Institute of Allied healthcare have bagged university top ranks in the recently held Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) healthcare examination conducted by the Osmania University in Hyderabad.

Excelling among other leading institutes Innova institute of Healthcare has been successfully imparting training to students in post graduate diploma courses in the disciplines of perfusion technology, physician assistants, medical research assistants and echocardiography cum sonography since past few years. With seven candidates passing out in distinction and eleven of them passing with first class, the students of Innova institute have cornered the University top rankers for the second time in a row since 2010-11. For 2011-12 batch Tammah Srinivas has bagged the top rank in the final examination results declared recently.

While expressing happiness for securing top ranks at the University level, Dr KS Murthy, chairman and managing director, Innova, said, “Our students have made it again, and our faculty have proved their mettle in accomplishing this outstanding result, not even premier Institutes can replicate and match such performance.”

Apart from offering PG Diploma courses, the Institute is also offering training in surgical procedures for doctors.

Earlier in 2011 Osmania University had given affiliation to different hospitals in the state to conduct several post graduate and advanced post graduate diploma (Advanced Post Graduate Diploma) courses in healthcare for the benefit of thousands of graduates with a view to train them for employment in the healthcare industry.

As the demand for healthcare technologists (paramedical experts) is very high in India and abroad leading hospitals such as KIMS, Yashoda, Innova, Care and Global hospitals have come forward to offer PGD and APGD  courses in Andhra Pradesh.

The PGD courses in healthcare are of one year duration consisting of two semesters with theory and practical training and examinations plus an internship. The APGD courses in healthcare are of two years duration consisting of four semesters with theory and practical training and exams in first and second semesters and only practical training and practical examinations in the third and fourth semesters without any internship.
