IPA institutes IPA-ACG Innovation in Solid Dosage Forms Awards

The Indian Pharmaceutical Association (IPA) has instituted the IPA-ACG Innovation in Solid Dosage Forms Awards, in association with the Associated Capsules Group (ACG) and SciTech Centre. It has now called for entries from the Indian pharma industry, pharmacy colleges, research centres and promising start-up companies to submit their novel developments before March 10, 2015.

‘These awards recognize the best innovations in development of solid dosage form in pharmaceuticals and packaging of pharmaceuticals, said Kaushik Desai, general secretary, IPA.

The nominations are invited in two categories. The first is for the Best Innovative Solid Dosages Form of the year which enables the winner to a cash award of Rs.50,000 with a memento. The second entry is for the Best Innovative Packaging for Indian market with a cash prize of Rs.50,000 with memento.

According to Desai, this would give an opportunity to the industry and institutes to put forth their creative skills and prove their mark in excellence. Further it would also give a boost to the innovation in the Indian pharmaceutical industry. In fact, this is the first time IPA has collaborated with ACG Worldwide and SciTech Centre to recognize.

The criteria for nomination is available at IPA website www.ipapharma.org. The last date to receive nominations is March 10, 2015, Desai said.
