Italian cos keen to explore business opportunities with Indian packaging cos during Pharmintech 2013
Acknowledging the growing potential of the Indian companies in the processing and packaging segment, the Italian innovators who are into manufacturing top products have expressed keen interest in working with the Indian counterparts so as to enable access to the expanding Indian market through collaborative efforts. This they plan to initiate through building a business relation with Indian companies that will mainly focus on industrial outsourcing and transfer of technology.
Almost 90 per cent of the Italian products are exported globally and are in high demand due to its high end technological know-how and expertise. With close collaboration with the Indian companies, these technologically advanced products that are manufactured after thorough research and development (R&D) will be launched directly to the Indian market, to enable the customers to get access to comparatively cost effective and qualitative solutions.
According to P V Narayanan, secretary general, the Institute of Packaging Machinery Manufacturers of India (IPMMI), this could be a great opportunity for the Indian companies to explore global market as such collaborative measures will expose them to the global market. “But most importantly, the Indian companies will be able to adopt technologies that have been so far not available in the country. Technology transfer will help the Indian companies to establish and manufacture this high end technological innovation within the country that can be used to cater to the needs of the country as well as other countries through exports, as these products will be comparatively cheaper to the machines made abroad without compromising the quality.”
For ensuring the same, Ipack-Ima Spa, trade-fair leader in the packaging, agri-food and logistics sectors has urged all the Indian manufacturers to come forward to explore potential business opportunity through the fourth edition of the Pharmintech 2013 in Bologna, Italy. The event is specially programmed to attract the Indian manufacturers, with its special focus on exploring Indian market.
