“Our forte is in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and with the domain expertise of Oracle led us to develop  ‘SOnGo’ or ‘Sales-on-the-go’ which allows the  field-force to handle daily activities like contact and account management, call planning, sample drops, signature capture and interactive electronic detailing,” MS Swaminathan, vice president and Business Practice Head-CPG, ITC Infotech told Pharmabiz.

Going by the demand in the life sciences space particularly in the area of sales and marketing where the representatives are viewing varied options to augment their productivity, the company worked with Oracle to develop a   ‘SOnGo’  to enhance the quality of discussions with the physician and  reduce cumbersome administrative tasks, he said.

In the regulated market arena, ITC Infotech will primarily focus on North America, Europe and Asia Pacific markets. The company has tapped the European Union customers in the life sciences space and installed PCD (Personalised Content Delivery) and CLM Analytics (Closed Loop Marketing Analytics) for a client in the US (name withheld). It will now start its implementation at a bio-pharma company in the UK. In the meanwhile, it has viewed Emerging Markets with considerable interest. To begin its aggressive efforts to tap for opportunities in the region, though its offices in South Africa, Singapore and Indonesia   where expansions in life sciences industry are seen, it is scouting for partners in hardware and integration in these countries.

With the life  sciences companies gearing up to automate processes across departments of manufacturing and research,  the plan is to add value to pharma, biotech and healthcare customers as part of the company’s future growth plans,  observed the ITC Infotech vice president and Business Practice Head.
