Kerala pharmacy council to conduct 8th pharmaceutical scientific seminar on Dec 6
The Kerala Pharmacy Council will conduct the 8th National Pharmaceutical Scientific Seminar on December 6 at Thiruvananthapuram. The programme is organised in memory of late MNVG Adiyodi, the first president of the council.
The programme will commence at 10 am and it will be inaugurated by Dr B Suresh, president of the Pharmacy Council of India. Dr MKC Nair, vice chancellor of the Kerala Health University is the chief guest.
According to B Rajan, president of KPC, the pharmaceutical seminar will cover all the areas from developing molecules to the formulation of a drug and the services of pharmacists in each level. Discussions and deliberations on how to modify the services of pharmacists in each level of drug development will be held in the seminar sessions.
Dr Sreeraman, head of department of pharmacology at Sreeramakrishna College of Pharmacy at Coimbatore will deliver on ‘Pharmacy practice—challenges in India’ and Dr Venkatakrishnan, member of Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission will speak on ‘Pharmacovigilance-scope in India’.
Dr Ramadas Pisharadi, principal, Thiruvananthapuram Medical College will preside over the inaugural function. Students from all pharmacy colleges in Kerala will attend the programme.
