Lupin, Aurobindo and Mylan, have bagged Pharmexcil’s top export awards for their outstanding export performances in the bulk drugs and formulations category for the year 2013-14.

Out of more than 150 applications in exports category, Mumbai based Lupin limited has been judged as ‘all round performer’, while Aurobindo Pharma and Mylan Laboratories have been judged as leading bulk drugs and formulations exporters respectively for the year 2013-14.
 
Under the bulk drugs category, while Aurobindo Pharma has received ‘over all’ export performer award, Laurus Labs and Glenmark Pharmaceuticals have bagged awards under mid range and emerging companies categories respectively.

Under the formulations category, Mylan Laboratories, has bagged the ‘overall export performer’ award while Hetero Labs has bagged an award under large company category.  Apotex Research and Sanofi India have been recognised mid range formulator companies excelling in exports. Fourrts (India) Laboratories has bagged an award under emerging company category.

The Hyderabad based Biological E, has been recognised as a leading exporter of biopharmaceutical products from India and Suven Life Sciences has been awarded as the leading contract research and manufacturer for the year 2013-14.

Sami Labs and ACG- Associated Capsules have bagged outstanding export awards under herbals and excipients categories.  While Omni Active Health Technologies, has bagged an award under the Nutraceuticals category.

While distributing the awards during the 10th Annual Meet of Pharmexcil in Hyderabad, Dr P V Appaji, Director General, Pharmexcil said, “As a government agency we are mandated to help the Indian pharmaceutical industry to achieve excellence in exports and facilitate overseas buyers to find suitable trade with the Indian. These awards are a token of encouragement and I am quite confident that India will attain the target of crossing 17 billion dollars of pharma exports by the end of 2015.”

The export council has also recognised companies who have excelled exports in a particular global region. Gland Pharma has been awarded as an outstanding exporter in the America and Oceania region, Cadila Health care Limited is recognised for its export might in the European and CIS region, while J.B Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals has excelled in the Africa, Asia and Middle East region.
