The Maharashtra Ayurveda Center (MAC), Pune has announced that it is ready to offer contract manufacturing facility to industry for manufacturing following dosage forms like churn, tableting, capsulation, oil/grita, ointment and awaleha.
Spread on an area of 1,20,000 sq ft land and 45,000 square feet built up facility, MAC is an Ayurveda industry cluster funded by Ayush ministry under government of India central sector scheme. The cluster has already started supply of pre-processed raw material and now following facilities are ready to be utilised by the industry, entrepreneurs and physicians to manufacture their formulations under contract manufacturing by loan license or third party contract.
Rates have been subsidised to promote entrepreneurship and build capacity of micro, small and medium-scale manufacturers of Ayurveda drugs. The Cluster would bring in quality improvement of raw material and finished goods, reduction in the individual capital investment through contract manufacturing, reduction in the pre-manufacturing time (40 per cent time saving) by virtue of bulk raw material supply, reduction in the packaging and labeling costs through common facility centre, reduction in marketing costs by common marketing and branding (40 per cent cost saving) by e- commerce platform www.ayurways.biz.
The project will benefit around 700 micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) through interventions like exhibition, production, contract manufacturing, raw material processing and will translate into 50 per cent cost saving in the respective businesses of the stakeholders.
