Medikoe online healthcare platform is set to foray into Mumbai and Northern Capital Region (NCR) before March 2016. It will offer its users the convenience to get connected with hospitals, diagnostic centres, pharmacy and wellness centres in a seamless manner. The expansion in digital in the healthcare space ensues the surge in internet penetration in the country.

The three-month-old Bengaluru-based healthcare technology start-up which was set up in October 2015 has a total of 8,400 users and over 70,000 transactions have taken place so far. “With 5000+ healthcare service providers and over 250 deals registered, we have seen that a huge gap exists between the consumer and healthcare service providers”, said Sreevalsan Menon, Founder & CEO, Medikoe.

End of November 2015, the company received Rs. 66 lakh in angel funding from Anil Menon, CEO, CMS Computer. “This is being utilized for our expansions into the western and northern markets”, said Menon.

“We are have been witnessing considerable traction for discounts offered on our platform related to healthcare and wellness. Users are looking at affordable healthcare,” he added.

Further, Menon said that there are a total of 20+ different categories to choose hospitals, diagnostic labs, pharmacy, physiotherapy, diabetic treatments, gynecology, cardiologist, ayurveda, homeopathy, fitness etc.

The healthcare platform has classified its services under Discover, Deal and Review. Medikoe has over 5000+ service providers registered with it. This allows the user to locate the nearest healthcare service. For people on the move, accessing ‘Discover’ enables tracking the nearest pharmacy outlet to purchase the medicines. The platform has over 100 healthcare and wellness deals ranging from 5% to 80%. These days consumers are keen to opt for discounts which are genuine from reputed brands and accessed under its category titled ‘Deal; With ‘Review’, consumers can also rate the service providers, he said.
