MIT Group to organise first Int'l event on ‘Nano and Regenerative Medicines’ in Mumbai on Dec 12-13
The first international conference on “Nano and Regenerative Medicines - Opportunities and Challenges for India” will be held at The Leela in Mumbai from December 12 to 13, 2011.
The two-day event is being organized by MIT Group of Education and Research Institutes and will be supported by Florida International University USA (FIU) and National Institutes of Health USA (NIH).
Eminent scientists from the USA will present validated technologies, product ideas, development roadmap in Nanotechnology & Regenerative Medicines and discuss possible collaborations with the Indian industry, scientific community, investors and policy makers.
The key objective of the 2-day event is that investors will have an opportunity to learn about cutting edge advancements in cellular and regenerative medicine. It is a platform for both the pharma and the diagnostic sector to strike potential deals with technology holders network with pharma/diagnostics/biotech leaders to help bring India to the forefront of Nanotechnology/Regenerative medicine, stated Sanjay Deshmukh, director, Nurture Earth R&D Pvt Ltd.
The event will highlight the benefits of nanotechnology helping to transform healthcare domain just as the digital telephone transformed communication sector. It will give the industry and the investor community to assess whether the country could leapfrog with nanotechnology as it did with software technology. It will provide ample avenues to evaluate whether stem cell technology/regenerative medicines could cause a paradigm shift.
Further, the goal of the conference is to match unmet market needs with appropriate technologies in which India could be at the forefront of research in nanotechnology and stem cell- driven advances in medicine to capture the unprecedented opportunity of the globalization era.
The conference will cover current nano and regenerative medicine products, key players, market size and impact on market cap. Expert speakers will describe various technologies, current status and future trends, Intellectual Property Rights, Regulatory Affairs, potential Strategic Alliances, funding strategies and Deal Strategies.
This conference intends to bring strategic decision makers in the Indian pharma industry, International researchers, experts in the Nano and Regenerative Medicine. Conference focus areas are Nanoparticles in Pharmaceutical applications, Nanodevices for ultra-high precision atomic-cell in-vitro biopsy and early stage in vivo diagnostics, Regenerative Medicine and Nutraceuticals.
