With an aim to provide world-class medical services within the reach of the masses in north India, Nayati Healthcare & Research is coming up with super specialty hospitals in tier II and III cities in the region.

Nayati Healthcare currently operates super specialty hospitals in Mathura and Agra in Uttar Pradesh. The work on super specialty hospitals in Varanasi in UP and Amritsar in Punjab has started. The hospitals will become operational over the next couple of years.  “We have begun the construction of Nayati Medicity, Amritsar, we are opening a day care centre and OPD at Varanasi shortly, followed by a 375 bedded Medicity within the next two years,” said Dr RK Mani, CEO- Medical, Nayati Healthcare.

The 351 bedded state- of-the-art facility in Mathura commenced operation in February 2016. It houses eight centers of excellence, including Nayati centre of excellence for oncology and centre of excellence for renal sciences. Widening its reach, Nayati Hospital, Agra was commissioned in July 2017, said Dr. Mani.

We have started kidney transplant services at Mathura facility, which is the first in a tier III city. The Mathura facility also has advanced state of the art cancer care centre bringing medical, surgical and radiation technology for end to end treatment for mass market of tier II and tier III cities for not only Uttar Pradesh but for the entire North India.   Besides this, we are also planning to double the bed capacity of Mathura facility to 650 beds over next couple of years, he informed.

Talking about reason behind setting up healthcare facilities in tier II & III cities, the Nayati CEO said, “We witness to the extremely skewed distribution of healthcare infrastructure, technology and expertise with almost all of it concentrated in the metros. The metro-centricity and prohibitive costs are part of a larger exclusivity. The majority of Indian healthcare professionals are concentrated around urban areas where consumers have higher spending power, leaving rural areas under served. We believe that access to quality healthcare is a basic right to dignity and decided to bring the best in healthcare to the 2nd and 3rd tier cities answering to the felt needs in these long neglected regions.”

Nayati pioneers the concept of taking healthcare to the real India, where 70% of the population lives. The aim is to develop world class advanced, affordable healthcare institutions where a patient's welfare is at the heart of every action. Our aim is to bring comprehensive end to end services under one roof, so that patients do not need to undergo the hassle of running from door to door in a metro city, he said.

Apart from offering healthcare services, Nayati has also undertaken an initiative to promote preventive healthcare. Nayati has been regularly conducting several online and onground programs to create awareness and help in early prevention and diagnosis of non communicable diseases including cancer, diabetes, cardiovascular ailments in Uttar Pradesh where it operates two health facilities. The state tops incidences of cancer with more than 2.5 lakh cancer cases, which amounts to 17.2% of cancer patients in India, far exceeding Punjab, Delhi, Uttarakhand.

Some of its noteworthy initiatives include cancer screening camps at villages for the vulnerable communities, educational institutions, senior citizens associations, women’s clubs, corporates.

We are creating a registry of diseases prevalent in the region such as diabetes, cancer etc which is crucial in the management of a population suffering from these diseases, said Dr Mani.
