Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) has called for nominations for ‘Pharmacy Award’ from registered pharmacists who have rendered outstanding services in their field of excellence.

According to Archna Mudgal, registrar-cum-secretary, Pharmacy Council of India, these awards are aimed at recognizing outstanding services rendered by pharmacist across different states in the country. “Main objective of these awards is to recognize and encourage pharmacists who are doing great service in their field of excellence. Interested pharmacists who wish to get nominated for these awards can forward their applications to the PCI on or before 20th August,” informed the PCI registrar.

Pharmacists in the country are working in varied areas of their excellence, but so far there has been no particular dedicated pharmacy award to recognize their talents and services. With the Pharmacy Council of India announcing these awards, it has given a great opportunity for pharmacists to get themselves recognized for the invaluable services in the field of excellence.

With the announcement of these awards, now onwards PCI will now recognize the outstanding services in the field of patient care and best talents in encouraging the development of innovative programmes of study and research in different branches of pharmaceutical sciences.

For the year 2017-18, the Pharmacy Council of India is expected to recognize work of distinction from distinguished and exceptional achievers in the fields of hospital pharmacy, community pharmacy, teaching profession, research pharmacy, regulatory pharmacy and best performing state pharmacy council.

The candidates who are conferred with ‘Pharmacy Awards’ will also get Rs.50,000, a citation and a salvar as token of respect from the PCI.

Interested candidates need to apply on or before 20th August 2017 and need to submit the hard copy of their application along with relevant documents to the PCI.
