Pharmexcil invites entries for ‘Outstanding Export performance Awards 2015-16’
Pharmexcil has called for nominations from pharma exporters for the ‘Outstanding Export Awards’ for the year 2015-16. “We have instituted these awards in the year 2009 with an aim to encourage the Indian pharmaceutical exporters to increase their export capacities and at the same time enhance the competitiveness among the firms to capture the global markets. Already, India’s exports have crossed over Rs.1 lakh crore mark, this year. And we are hoping to capture newer and unexplored markets in the coming future,” said Dr. P.V. Appaji, Director General, Pharmexcil.
According to Dr. Appaji, the outstanding export awards from Pharmexcil will be conferred on the members who have achieved outstanding export performance. This year, the council is also actively considering to give away awards to participating firms who have fared excellently in regional wise exports. For instance companies who have fared well in Latin American Countries (LAC), Asia-Pacific, ASEAN, and African countries will be recognized and will be awarded.
To encourage the women entrepreneurs, Pharmexcil had constituted a special ‘Women Entrepreneur award’ last year. Those firms which are headed by women chief executive officer (CEO) at least for a period of 3 years and have shown good export performance are qualified for this award. “We are also inviting applications from firms for therapy area exports of oncology, tuberculosis, malaria & diabetic details in the application format as a therapy award might be considered by the committee,” informed the DG.
Interested pharma companies have to submit their applications to the council on or before 20th August 2016 for them to be considered for the outstanding export performance awards by the Council.
