The Pharmaceuticals Export Promotion Council of India (Pharmexcil) in association with a Hyderabad based IT company recently launched a unique networking platform called Moozup, exclusively for the benefit of the exhibitors and regulators participating in iPHEX 2013 exposition. Through this first of its kind initiative Council aims to provide an highly personalised and effective communication platform for the exhibitors to discuss and deliberate over their important agenda during the event.
The software has been customised based on the explicit demands set by the Council to ensure a networking platform for its members that will help them share their business interests, work activities, their company profile and their expectation with each other. Though, Moozup has been developed in line with other professional networking platforms like Linkedin, the membership to it is limited only for the exhibitors and the drug regulators participating in the exposition to provide them with a private environment to fix up and discuss their plans and agenda with other Moozup members only.
According to Dr P V Appaji, director general, Pharmexcil, one of the best benefits of being part of this networking site is that only the members who are eligible to join will be privy to all the discussions and important updates as and when it happens. Enabling the members to easily rely on this site to discuss confidential details, share ideas, reactions, their feed back on the event, post activities etc with like minded professionals attending iPHEX.
Since the launch of this networking site on April 15, Pharmexcil has already recorded membership from almost 150 exhibitors out of the 700 participants which includes over 450 overseas visitors along with around 250 Indian exporters. Dr Appaji stressed that they are even considering to give the sponsors of iPHEX an opportunity to get membership to Moozup and have directed the interested parties to get in contact with Pharmexcil at the earliest.
“We are very happy with the tremendous response that we have received from our members in a very sort time since the launch of Moozup. Especially since it has been able to deliver ideal platform for the all the registered users to interact and communicate with each other effectively over the matters concerning iPHEX,” added Dr Appaji.
He further informed that to avoid hindrance and long wait at the visitors registration counter, they can now avail the online registration facility by logging in the iPHEX website.
As per the latest reports the Drug Controller General of India (DCGI) Dr GN Singh has confirmed his participation along with the participation of drug controllers from Haryana, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal and Andhra Pradesh.
