Pharmexcil to celebrate 10 years of success on Sept 18 & 19 in Hyderabad
The Pharmaceuticals Export Promotion Council of India (Pharmexcil) is set to celebrate 10 years of success by focusing on two important issues affecting the industry during its annual meet that is going to be held from 18 to 19th September in Hyderabad. With a view to tap the issue of the exporters, the Pharmexcil has planned to organise two important seminars on the sidelines of its 10 years celebration that aims to touch base with the problems and challenges of the exporters.
The Council will be hosting two dedicated seminars based on the requirements and the latest trends in the industry. The first of which is on the best practice pharmaceutical quality system the way forward for quality culture and compliance, through which they plan to open up the podium for discussing important aspects on creating and implementing a sustainable quality culture.
One of the most notable aspects of this segment will be its focus on data integrity. The seminar will have a detailed discussion with the experts on the regulatory perspective, FDA expectations on part-11 compliance in analytical lab, laboratory investigations, product quality life cycle implementation etc.
Later, Pharmexcil will set the stage open to discuss and explore market opportunities for orphan drugs, while discussing government initiatives for orphan drugs by organising a dedicated seminar to address global opportunities and government initiatives for drugs for rare diseases (orphan drugs). The seminar will focus on the detailed medical history of rare diseases; medical education on orphan drugs, the orphan drugs perspective from FDA point; populations health genomes public health etc.
The seminar will also act as a guide to get further information on foundation for research on rare disorders, global opportunities it present etc. Dr P V Appaji, director general of Pharmexcil informed that they have decided to celebrate the completion of ten years by addressing issues that are relevant to the industry so that in the long run it will further help the growth of the industry, spurring exports from the country.
He stressed that the seminar led by eminent global quality management thought leaders is designed to provide an insight to the stakeholders and the regulators likewise on developing a roadmap for creating, implementing and sustaining a culture of quality. Apart from organising this seminars, Pharmexcil will also be distributing the export and patent awards; along with the felicitations of past chairmen and chief executive officer, of top Indian pharma exporters, namely Satish Reddy from Dr Reddy's Laboratories; Ramprasad Reddy from Aurobindo Pharma; Pankaj Patel from Cadila Health Care etc.
