SigTuple Technologies is on an aggressive mode to transform Indian healthcare landscape with its error free screening and analytics. Its slew of five tests especially applicable to rural populace in India and the developing world are driven on artificial intelligence. The key benefits are improved accuracy and efficiency by making advanced screening available through low cost medical devices which would spur telemedicine too.

The Bengaluru-based start-up builds algorithms on the medical data and help doctors by automating disease screening and diagnosis. The company is now gearing up to enable access to these algorithms through low cost screening devices and a cloud based intelligent platform. The initial focus is on medical image analysis for detection of diseases and abnormalities.

"Artificial intelligence is about to change the way medical screening and diagnosis and patient care works in the very near future. We are excited to be part of this change, right from the time of its inception. We look forward to bring more and more smart healthcare solutions to the market”, stated Dr. Tathagato Rai Dastidar, co-founder & CEO, SigTuple Technologies.

The year-old SigTuple, is now collaborating with several reputed medical institutions across India to develop its five products: Shonit the complete blood smear analysis solution, Adi the automated solution for semen analysis and specific tests for urine analysis, detection of abnormalities in chest x-rays and retinal scan analysis. The company has a panel of consulting clinicians on board.

“Our mandate is to change the world of diagnostics in a manner like never before. Apart from phenomenally saving the precious time of clinicians, our products present a scenario of error free screening and analytics which is a huge need for the patient community today. Our products are in various stages of development. Shonit is nearing the commercialization stage,” Dr Nirupa Bareja, director, SigTuple told Pharmabiz.

“There are some competitors in the West, but not many in India. Our edge is our team of experts. The cost of tests, marketing and outreach plans are still being worked out. However, the aim is to keep the costs low,” she added.

The investor community is enthused by the power of artificial intelligence and eager to know more about what all problems AI can solve. They are very receptive to the power of our idea and business model. SigTuple too will look for funds to scale up operations at the appropriate time, she said.
