Aiming to fill the gap between jobs and pharmacy students' skills, Hyderabad-based TeachGlobal Solutions has introduced e-learning platform for varied pharmacy degree programmes--B.Pharm, M.Pharm and Pharm.D. The platform, where these three courses will be taught online, is the first of its kind in the country.

Besides the courses, the digital platform will offer industry exposure to students and keep them updated on latest developments in pharmaceutical industry in India and abroad, job opportunity in drug industry, skills required for various jobs in the industry as well as changes taking place in drug regulation globally.

To access the pharmacy courses, students can download Teach Global mobile application from Google Playstore. The app primarily consists of audio-visual lectures, important notes of the lecture and a practice test for all the chapters mentioned in the syllabus of varied pharmacy degree courses as well as books related to these courses and popular pharma journals.

Besides this, TeachGlobal offers students practical training in drug companies helping them learn varied operations of drug industry.

On completion of the respective course, students will have to appear for assessment test. The students who clear the test will be given certificates which help them get employment in the pharma industry.

TeachGlobal courses have been recognised by around 80 leading domestic drug companies. The firm is in talks with other drug companies for recognition of their courses so that students having TeachGlobal certification will get jobs there. It has also reached to representative body of pharma industry such as OPPI, IDMA seeking their support in this regard.

Currently, 40 per cent of B.Pharm passouts are unemployed due to lack of adequate employment skills. The candidates who pursue M.Pharm in renowned colleges get employed in drug companies, others are facing unemployment challenge.
