Cigna TTK Health Insurance, a leading global healthcare service provider has unveiled its plans for the region of Andhra Pradesh and Telangna states and has set a target of 170 per cent growth in the coming days in the region.

Revealing the company’s plans in Hyderabad, Jyoti Punja, deputy chief executive officer, Cigna TTK Health Insurance said, “Andhra Pradesh and Telangna which are our key markets and we have made significant strides in terms of distribution and reach, through our branch networks and a partnership with Andhra Bank. In 2017 we see digitization as a strong enabler of growth and are steadily moving forward in our digitization journey. Given the double digit medical inflation and abysmally low health insurance penetration in India, we are working towards creating the much needed awareness and education to our customers. In the coming days we want to further expand our base and had set a target of 170 per cent growth in both the states”.

Cigna TTK Health Insurance is a joint venture company between US based global health service leader, Cigna Corporation, and Indian conglomerate TTK Group.

The company entered into Indian markets in 2014 and is now slowly moving to capture the southern states of AP and TS. With more than 200 years of experience in the insurance sector, Cigna TTK is regarded as the fastest growing health insurance company globally. In a short span of time the company has successfully created a customer base of 3,00,000 plus. Now in its 4th year of business, Cigna TTK is all set to expand its footprint across India with a deeper focus in key markets.

Offering a wide spectrum of customized and innovative health insurance plans, Cigna TTK plans to widen its multi-distribution channel network in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. At present the company has an agent network of 1000 personnel and is targeting to double its count in the year 2017. Last year in 2016, the company entered into a tie-up with Andhra Bank and covered about 800 branches under its phase one growth programme. The phase two programme of its expansion has begun this year and is targeting to increase its services to more than 2,000 branches across both the states of AP and TS.

The company is planning to utilize the digital ecosystem being promoted by both the state governments in AP and TS. “We want to utilize the digital ecosystem being supported by the governments and take full advantage of this platform to boost our reach into deeper areas of the country,” informed the chief executive officer.
