UK’s HCE Medical Group ventures into Indian market for supplying high quality healthcare products
Officially launching its office in Hyderabad, the UK-based HCE Medical Group has ventured into Indian markets for supplying high quality healthcare products through its subsidiary HCE Medical India Limited, to serve its customers across the country with Hyderabad as its centre.
HCE Medical Group which has for long been exporting medicines and other healthcare products to India through general trade now wants to create a long term plan to deliver better supply of high-quality healthcare products and services to the medical sector across India with a local team. The company authorities have chosen Hyderabad as an ideal location, as it is at a central point to provide better service to the whole of the country. Moreover as the city has a large chunk of human resources with strong English skills, the company wants to leverage these resources for serving its customers effectively.
“High quality healthcare is essential in building national prosperity. Our new company in India will build on our presence from Hyderabad due to its central location and open and growing economy,” said Raj Singh, CEO of HCE Medical Group, UK.
Not just consumables, the HCE Medical Group is also having a strong track record of specialising in design, supply and manufacture of medical equipment. In fact, it is the major supplier of medical products and services in United Kingdom supporting more than 26,000 healthcare professionals as part of the country’s National Health Services (NHS) and private healthcare sectors.
At present, the HCE Medical Group is engaged in the export of medical goods and services to over 50 countries with a strong focus on research and development.
Exploiting the opportunity provided by government of India under ‘Make in India’ initiative, the HCE Medical Group is planning to develop new products specifically for the Indian markets. Recently, they have also entered into a partnership with a manufacturing company to prototype medical couches in India with the hope to reduce the cost of these products at the same time maintaining the same quality and regulatory standards.
With its latest launch in Hyderabad, the HCE Medical India is planning to come out with innovative medical and healthcare solutions for the industry and its customers in India. Earlier, Andrew Fleming, British Deputy High Commissioner, Hyderabad said that Telangana has a thriving medical and healthcare industry and with companies like HCE Medical Group’s investment in Hyderabad, the city will attract many more global players and will become a hub for medical devices and healthcare investors in the coming days.
