Apollo Hospitals, Bangalore opens dedicated 'Mother & Child' Clinic'
Apollo Hospitals has opened a 'Mother& Child' Clinic to offer the entire gamut of services for mothers of all age groups and children. The clinic is powered by an experienced team of professionals led by Dr (Prof.) Chitra Ramamurthy and Dr Mala Prakash.
The launch coincided with Mothers Day on May 11. The clinic offers special packages and free counseling from May 11-24 to celebrate the occasion. The free counseling will include menopausal counseling for women above 40yrs and one free pre conception counseling.
The new clinic is a signature Apollo project with state of the art facilities to ensure round the clock comfort for its patients.
The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) located in a special area can be compared with among the best in the world and features the most advanced technology and trained healthcare professionals to provide specialized care for the tiny ones. The clinic will also provide "Epidural Anaesthesia" which is an advance in pain management during labor, and ensures that a pregnant woman has a comfortable labor experience.
According to Dr Chitra Ramamurthy, not too long ago women were forced to quit jobs as soon as their pregnancies became evident. But with changing times, more women are stepping out of traditional cocoons to work out of economic necessity, to increase the wage of a partner or to be the sole breadwinner of the family. We at Apollo Hospitals recognize that the moment a woman takes the decision to be a mother is a monumental one and this is our endeavour to cater to all her needs right from preconception to delivery and thereafter".
World class birthing suites known as "Blossom Suites" have been designed with soothing décor and soft lighting along with specially designed equipment to protect you during Labor/Delivery/Recovery (LDR).
