Cholayil Ayurveda Health & Research Academy, part of the Chennai-based Cholayil group which manufacturers the renowned Ayurvedic soap Medimix, is organizing its second International Ayurveda Congress (IAC-2005) at New Delhi from November 11 to 13, 2005.

Conducted at the Thalkathora Indoor stadium, more than 2500 participants invited from different parts of the world, including renowned practicing Ayurvedic doctors, academicians, research scholars and representatives from allopathy practitioners are expected to participate in the Congress.

About 50 guest lectures and panel discussions have been planned on topics related to arthritis, rheumatism, disorders related to gynaecology, neurology, lifestyle disorders, obesity, eye disorders etc. A pre-congress workshop on panchakarma and management of eye disorders and kshara suthra are also part of the workshop.

Demonstration of panchakarma and yoga in the pre-congress workshop, medicinal plant exhibition of more than 300 endangered species etc. is also part of the congress, said sources.

Cholayil had conducted its first International Congress Ayurveda (ICA) 2000 in Chennai from 28 to 30 of January 2000, in Chennai, attended by 2500 delegates from India & abroad. That congress resulted in 40 lectures and 250 paper presentations. Herbal Exhibition, with more than 300 species of Medicinal plants along with the information on them was a major attraction of this congress.
