Indian Association of eHealth Care, in association with Health Systems, UK is planning to create awareness among Indian masses about eHealth technologies. The organisation jointly with Health Systems will conduct a two-day conference on 'Transforming Health and Healthcare through eHealth Technologies'. The conference to be held in Pune on March 11 and 12 will be inaugurated by Dr. Vimaltai Munjada, Maharashtra's Minister for Health and family Welfare. Government of UK, Department of Trade and Industry and Government of Maharashtra would support the event.

The conference aims to introduce the total concept of eHealth to a wide audience, discuss the potential for and the implications of eHealth as an enabler for the transformation of health strategy and provision of healthcare, discuss and demonstrate practical examples of how it is already being implemented in India and across the world, consider how it could be applied for the benefit of citizens, patients, clinicians and health organisation in India and to maximise collaboration opportunities for UK and Indian healthcare organisations and companies offering eHealth application, services and solutions.

Sessions will include a medical and technology convergence, discussions on strategic development of health services, eHealth as an agent for reform, successful application of eHealth solutions and eHealth- the way forward.
