The Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB), Cure Foundation and the Apollo Hospitals in cooperation with Westchester Medical Centre and New York Medical College is conducting conduct first international annual conference on transnational research on cancer and other diseases with the theme 'Bench to the Bedside' at Hyderabad on March 19 and 20, 2005.

The conference aims at bridging the gap between the investigators in the lab and practitioners in the clinic through common platform of dialogue to expedite the process of translation from bench to bed.

The event will focus on cutting edge research in prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancers (tumours of colon, rectum, liver, pancreas and brain) and benign diseases such as diabetes.

The conference will be attended by 300 delegates representing physicians, basic research scientists, clinical scientists, research students, medical students, pharmaceutical researchers, nursing faculty and other healthcare professionals from around the country, the officials informed here.
