IPA plans series of seminars to mark National Pharmacy Week in Delhi

The Indian Pharmaceutical Association (Delhi branch) will organize a series of seminars on career counseling in various pharmacy colleges of the city during November 20-26. The IPA would also organize a half-day seminar on "Good Storage Practices" at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on November 21. The events are organized as part of the 44th National Pharmacy Week celebrations.

According to IPA state branch, the celebrations would begin on 20th, with an inaugural conference on the theme "Know your pharmacist - Role of Pharmacist in public health" at Jamia Hamdard University. Christine Glover, Ex-Co-Member, Community Pharmacy Section, FIP & Past President, Royal Society of Great Britain will deliver the theme address on the occasion. A presentation on career in pharmacy by Dr. Praveen Khullar President, IPA (Delhi Branch) and Director (Technical) Dabur Research Foundation, Sahibabad would be followed by a presentation on "Emerging role of a Pharmacist in New Drug Discovery: Are we ready to meet the challenges?" by Dr. Manu Jaggi, Joint Director, Dabur Research Foundation, Sahibabad. A panel discussion on Role of Pharmacist in Public Health is also planned.

The colleges where the career counseling seminars are planned are Delhi Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences & Research (DIPSAR), Pushp Vihar, New Delhi, Surajmal Institute of Technology, Janak Puri, New Delhi, Saint Lawrence College of Pharmacy, Geeta Colony, Delhi, and Aditya College of Pharmacy and Science, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi.
