Kaivalyadhama to hold 6th International Conference on Yoga at Lonavla
Kaivalyadhama, an 80-year-old yoga institute, will hold its sixth International Conference on Yoga at Lonavla from December 27 to 30. The conference, this year aims especially on importance of addition of yoga in education system from school level onwards. Eminent personalities associated with religion and cultures, renowned scientists, educationalists, medical professionals and yoga followers are expected to attend the four-day event.
State government is taking part in the conference wherein discussions and presentations of new yoga researches will be held. “Yoga is proving its importance all over the world. Several researches are being conducted about yoga as remedy to several illnesses. In the presence of the delegates from department of Ayush, health department, state and central governments will help spread of yoga in large scale. Benefits of yoga that recent researches have proved will be the highlight of conference. The new information can be taken forward by the yoga followers and volunteers attending the conference. Moreover, Department of Higher and Technical Education is co-organizer with us for the event,” informed Subodh Tiwari, convener of the Conference.
Over 1,200 delegates, including foreign delegates from countries like US, France, Brazil, China, Germany, Canada, Greece, Argentina, Korea and Japan will exchange their ideas on the recent advances in yoga as a therapy to healthy life and the need to inculcate yoga in our school curriculum. The conference will also see participation from prominent yoga institutes across the country.
Kaivalyadhama, one of the oldest yoga institutes in India, is located in Lonavla. Its branches spread across globe too. It is also one of the first yoga research institutes in India with a focus on research in both the philosophico and the scientific research aspects.
