K B Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (KBIPER), Gujarat organised a street play on December 1, 2011 to create awareness about the HIV/AIDS for all college students at their college campus.
The street play was a part of NSS unit of the institute and specially contributed by the MBA (Pharma) students of the institute to spread message “A reminder call on HIV/AIDS.”
The street play insisted on the causes and precautions to be taken to avoid AIDS. “It was a reminder call for everyone to be aware of the precautionary measures to be taken in today’s commercial health care services,” said Dr Gaurang Shah, principal, KBIPER.
“Creating awareness on such public issues also constitute the prime responsibility of a pharmacist. So, we feel so proud and glad to a good citizen by doing something good for the society,” said Chhajed Dasarath, the team leader and MBA (Pharma) student.
It was also a part of National Pharmacy Week which was celebrated recently from November 20 to 27, 2011. MBA (Pharma) students are launching a handbook on various health and general issues as a part of pharmacy week celebration.
