The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) is sending a delegation to Algeria shortly to further the trade relations between the two countries. The Ministry has sought suggestions from Pharmexcil regarding the desired cooperation in the improvement of bilateral trade with Algeria. The Ministry will also address all the major issues with the Algerian side, during the visit.

As per the communication received from the Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals, Pharmexcil has in turn sought its members who are already exporting or planning to export pharmaceuticals to Algeria to share their experiences and give their suggestions for improvement of pharmaceutical trade with that country.

Dr PV Appaji, executive director, Pharmexcil, said, "This will help the sector by improving the country's exports to Algeria. Pharmexcil will forward the views on concerned issues and suggestions of the industry, which will be taken up by the External Affairs Ministry during its visit."
