Millipore India Pvt Ltd, a separation technology major has now released its 1000th Water Purification System (WPS), a product of the company’s Lab Water Division in Bangalore.

The 1000th WPS is an Elix 10 UV model. The WPS range from Millipore Corporation, a global leader in membrane and filtration technology, finds diverse applications in the Pharmaceutical, R&D Biotechnology, Clinical and educational segments of industry. Its applications cover HPLC, GC-MS, PCR, 2D Electrophoresis, ICPMS to sample preparation, equipment feed and glassware rinsing. There are more than 3000 installations of Lab Water Purification Systems from Millipore in India.

The need for ultra pure water is critical in such applications as impurities in water can distort research results and QA/QC analysis in Pharma companies. Elix and Milli-Q range of WPS from Millipore are installed in over 300,000 labs all over the world. The Milli-Q is the brand leader of Water Purification Systems in the world and its A10 version can remove impurities and total organic carbon contaminants to less than 5 particles per billion (ppb).
