B Sethuraman, Hon. Secretary of the Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association of Tamil Nadu (PMA-Tamil Nadu) for the last four years, has been elected as the new President of TN PMA for next two years.

The 24th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of TN PMA was held in Chennai last Saturday, elected S Lakshminarayanan of Arlab India Pvt. Ltd as the new secretary. He is also the president of Indian Pharmaceutical Alliance -Tamil Nadu branch.

R Murugan, managing director of Cassel Research Laboratories Pvt. Ltd, is the new joint secretary, and T Munaswamy Naidu of Romet Laboratories Pvt. Ltd, and Dr K A Narendranath of TTK Healthcare Ltd, has been selected as the vice presidents. M Ketchaanirajan of Tanmed Pharmaceuticals is the new treasurer, replacing Dr Narendranath.

The new President Sethuraman replaces T S Jaishankar, who is currently the chairman of the Confederation of Indian Pharmaceutical Industries (CIPI) and also chairman of the Federation of South Indian Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Associations (FSPMA).
