The National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), SAS Nagar has bagged the 5 PharmaInnova Awards 2017-18 instituted by the Rajnibhai V Patel Trust under the Department of Science & Technology, Government of India.
The Institute’s 5 students: Dr. Shete Ganesh Bhaskarrao, Dr. Priyank Purohit, Dr. Sabbir Khan who holds a (PhD scholars) and Rhythm Arora along with and Gurudutt Dubey M.Pharm candidates have been awarded with “PharmInnova awards 2017-18. Their qualitative research work and the best thesis were the base for winning this award which could not have been possible without the guidance of Prof. Arvind K Bansal, Prof. Asit K Chakraborti, Dr Gopabandhu Jena, Dr. Sanyog Jain and Dr Joydev K Laha.
Dr. Shete Ganesh Bhaskarrao’s work is on “Development and evaluation of nanocrystaline solid dispersions of antioxidants” , Dr. Priyank Purohit‘s work is on “Development of novel Anti-inflammatory” and Dr. Dr. Sabbir Khan’s work is on “Anti-diabetic and anti-fibrotic effects of selected HDAC inhibitors in experimental diabetic rat: Elucidation of molecular mechanisms” bagged the honours.
Each PhD scholar will be awarded a trophy, certificate and cash prize of Rs. 75,000 each. The cash prize for Research Guide of the winner is Rs. 40,000 each. M. Pharm candidates will also be awarded a trophy, certificate and cash prize of Rs. 51,000 each. The cash prize for research guide of the winner is Rs. 25,000 each.
With an aim to encourage innovative thinking amongst students, Rajnibhai V Patel Trust instituted PharmInnova Award”. The Award is given to students pursuing their Masters & Doctorate in Pharmaceutical Sciences. The Award is sponsored by Troikaa Pharmaceuticals. The L M College of Pharmacy was the coordinator for this event.
