The Pharmaceutical Export Promotion Council (Pharmexcil) is organizing a seminar and interactive meet in Hyderabad on June 24, 2005 to sensitize exporters in the region on the amendments to Patent Act and its impact on domestic and export markets for pharmaceuticals.

NB Zaveri, a patent attorney and an expert on the subject from Mumbai, will elaborate on the changes effected from 1st January 2005 in the Patent Act and on the product patent regime in India.

Vijay Kapoor, a senior official from Govt of India will elaborate the incentives available for exporters through Pharmexcil from the Ministry of Commerce, Government of India.

Experts from Dun & Bradstreet would also explain the advantages of getting the units validated by international agencies to boost exports, informed sources.
