The Ruby Hall Clinic's IVF center has signed a strategic tie up agreement with the Australia based Sydney Invitro Fertilization (SIVF) center, to provide exclusive transfer of technology to Indian patients and doctors relating to all aspects of infertility, IVF and other assisted conception treatments.

The agreement also marked the formal inauguration of the state-of-the-art Ruby Hall 'Test Tube Baby' and Gynaec Endoscopic Center.

Addressing the media, Dr. D. Ghosh, Head of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department of Ruby Hall Clinic said, "The exclusive agreement will help doctor's team and patients to have consultation through video conferencing twice a week for half an hour with experts panel of the SIVF center to discuss the various important cases at Ruby Hall IVF Center."

With the investment of around Rs. 1.5 crore, the centre has become first of its kind to be located in a large hospital. Noted endoscopist and Chief IVF Consultant Dr. Sunita Tandulwadkar, said "SIVF will take the responsibility of the lab standards at Ruby Hall Clinic with constant up-gradation, so as to achieve success rate as comparable to international standards."

Dr Robert Jansen, Director, SIVF said that his center was extremely happy to have a strategic tie-up with an international class facility hospital like Ruby Hall. "We will ensure that we will train doctors and embryologists from here at the SIVF center and pass on constant up gradation of techniques to the Ruby hall Clinic IVF center."

The SIVF will also participate twice a year with their consultants in conferences and workshop organized by Ruby Hall IVF & endoscopy Center Dr Jansen said. Dr. Tandulwadkar explained that today 15 % of couples in the country are infertile.

"Because infertility is personal and private, these couples don't share their experience openly with friends or families and need help of IVF centers to deal with problems and fulfill dreams," she added.
