Teleradiology Solutions inks JV with National Health Group, Singapore
Teleradiology Solutions, a leading provider of tele-radiology services in the country has entered into a joint venture agreement with the National Healthcare Group(NHG), Singapore. The National Healthcare Group of Singapore is among the largest health care groups in Singapore. This joint venture with Teleradiology Solutions is a maiden effort by National Healthcare Group to enter into the service of radiology.
The strategic alliance between the two companies is aimed at capitalising the strengths of both organisations to offer high quality radiology readings to Asia as well as the rest of the world. NHG Singapore has under its umbrella nine polyclinics, four hospitals, one national centre and three specialty institutes.

Teleradiology Solutions, established in 2002 to provide US and Indian hospitals with teleradiology services, has become a leader in the imaging markets field. The company now provides teleradiology services to hospitals around the globe, which includes interpretation of all non-invasive imaging studies, namely CT, MRI, ultrasound, nuclear medicine studies and digitized X-rays via teleradiology (remote interpretation). The company provides subspecialty consultations in cardiovascular imaging to hospitals in India, including Narayana Hrudayalaya and Columbia Asia, and has a tie-up with the National Healthcare Group, Singapore. The company has been certified by the Joint Commission of Accreditation for Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO).
The company has a joint research partnership with GE Global Research, the centralised research organisation of the General Electric Company, to explore new techniques in 3D imaging analysis.
The team comprises 8 full-time radiologists who are certified (both Body and Neuroimaging) by the American Board of Radiology (ABR), with faculty experience at Yale University School of Medicine, New Haven. The services are supplemented by an additional US certified radiologist.
The radiology outsourcing major is Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) compliant and utilizes 128-bit encrypted Virtual Private Networking and password protected secure access to maintain patient confidentiality. The company's service is based on the use of web driven teleradiology systems. It uses broadband Internet access (T1 Lines) to transfer image data from the hospital server. Subspecialty second opinions on neuro-radiologic and body imaging studies are provided as are a 3D post-processing service for CT/MR image data. The company also provides facilities for transcription/editing/proofing of 'radiologic' dictations.
