Two day Pharma Leadership Summit to be held in Mumbai from June 25
The 3rd Annual Pharmaceutical Leadership Summit will be held on June 25 and 26, 2010 in Mumbai. The two-day pharma summit is being organised by the Pharma Leaders & Indo-American Chamber of Commerce. Union minister of state for chemicals & fertilizers Srikant Jena, Maharashtra chief minister Ashok Chavan, state FDA Minister MR Naik, Maharashtra Governor K Sankaranarayanan, and Sanjay Nirupam MP will be addressing the event.
Leading pharma associations like OPPI, IDMA, BDMA, IPA and Pharmexcil are the co-partners of the event. Interlink will be releasing a white paper on 'Empowering Indian Pharmaceutical Industry to lead Globally' at the two-day summit. The theme of the summit 'Limitless leadership: Bringing today, tomorrow & beyond' is timely positioned as India is emerging as a preferred destination for outsourcing drug discovery, clinical research and manufacturing sectors.
The two-day summit will have presentations by Tapan Ray, director general, OPPI on 'the Obama’s Healthcare Policy-An Indian Perspective and its implications', and another by Kewal Handa, managing director, Pfizer on 'the leadership in the face of change mastering resiliency: The road ahead'. Some of the other speakers are Dr Ramakant Panda, vice-chairman, Asian Heart Institute and Dr Krishna Ella, CMD, Bharat Biotech International.
