Insta Healthcare to expand its HMS installation base to 100 hospitals by April end
Insta Healthcare Pvt. Ltd. is now gearing up to expand its installation base with the Hospital Management System (HMS) to 100 hospitals by the end of April. The company already has carried out 85 installations at facilities across India, including the implementation of the solution on a trial basis at Malaysia. In the Middle East, HMS is available through a local partner. It is also working with the medical fraternity to offer the solution via iPad which makes it easy and appealing to record clinical information.
Going by the growth of the healthcare markets, Insta is now looking to support various multi-clinic or hospital chains with HMS. Sales presence across India is now adding to the growth momentum.
“We are also working to expand partners in South East Asia and Africa going by the potential prospects here. The company is also keen to tap local partners in India to increase its installation base in India at a faster pace”, said Ramesh Emani, co-founder and CEO, Insta Health Solutions Pvt Ltd.
The software’s superior features are its ability to offer a single version across all installation. Seventy hospital customers are using the same single version of software. Though having only one version across so many diverse customers is a challenge, it helps to develop a flexible and configurable solution. “We do not think there is any other similar solution being offered in the Indian market. The remote support and its upgrades have helped to fix any problem with faster turnaround. The software works on Internet Browsers and is installed only on the server, thus reducing support load. Insta uses Linux and open source software helping to save license costs for customers,” he added.
A typical hospital environment would require server specifications of Intel Dual core processor or Intel Xeon Server for high-end hospitals, two or four GB RAM depending on number of terminals and 300 GB SATA disks.
There is a huge opportunity in the clinic space. Here Insta can provide separate physical server for each clinic or go in for a single server for all clinics. The software is designed to offer dedicated database in the server for each clinic with remote information access from any clinic or its corporate office.
Further, it is also looking at Touch screen solutions via iPad/tablet PC solutions, including Apple’s iPad or other Android solutions. There is the option of Note Taker, where image of doctors prescription and notes are captured directly into the HMS. The patient data is stored in the tablet PC with an automatic back-up on a central server that can be accessed on email later, informed Dr N K Venkataramana, founder director, Insta Health Solutions Pvt Ltd.
