The Academy of Intellectual Property Studies (AIPS) is conducting an online guide and contact sessions for patent agent examination (Training).

The objectives of the course is designed to assist all those taking the patent agents exams scheduled for October 17th & 18th, 2006.

The online guide will divide the Indian Patent Act by sections and distribute them for a weekly study. At the end of each week a test will be sent to the participants to review their progress

The contact sessions aim to providing hands on training in the following areas: In depth analysis of the India Patent Act; Overview of patent drafting Title, Abstract and Summary, Written Description and Drawings; How to draft a specification & claim drafting; Drafting Licensing Clauses & Assignment of Patent; Giving opinions on patentability and Corresponding with the patent office.

What can be achieved?
A clear understanding of the Patent Act and filing procedures ; An understanding of the principles underlying claim drafting involved in patent specification.

The workshop will adopt a practical and interactive approach that will enable you to take the examination more confidently.

Course Commencement: September 04, 2006 until October 03, 2006: Online guide.

October 06, 2006 until October 08, 2006: Contact Sessions in Mumbai.
